10:45 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. - Understanding the Diploma Mill
A diploma mill is a postsecondary institution that awards unaccredited degrees and provides either an inferior education or no education at all. Degrees or other qualifications from unaccredited institutions may not be accepted by civil service or other employers. This workshop will teach you how to spot them, how to avoid them, and how to take action if you've been a victim of a diploma mill's false advertising.

11:45 p.m. - 1:15 p.m. - Postsecondary Education Opportunities: What You Need to Know
It is never too late to pursue your postsecondary educational goals. Panelist will share informatino on how to prepare for a successful experience at a community college or university; what to consider when selecting a vocational training program and what is available for active and non-active military personnel to include college programs, commissioning programs, technical schools and advanced training, military boarding schools, and related military training programs and procedures. The panel will also discuss financial aid available for postsecondary education.
